Our name

Me and Ella found it quite difficult to come up with a name which sounded up and coming, as well as being trendy and easy to remember. We spent several of our lesson times just brainstorming ideas down onto a big sheet of paper, like a spider diagram, until we came up with the perfect name for our artist. From the research which we looked at from the genre we are trying to put across it would be best to choose a name which is fun and quirky which will therefore also fit in with the artist herself which we are creating. The first name which I came up with which would be really edgy, was Lola, I thought that this name was very hipster and I have not heard of any other artists with this name. However although I did like it I did not think that it was the most catchy name, and well as this it may not look that great when it is written as a logo. Ella liked the idea of calling ourselves MoEl, this is because she decided to put the first two letters of our names together, I think this is a really cool and interesting concept, however we decided to go against it in case it seemed a bit to child like. We also had the child like problem when we came up with our third idea which was Molly May - this is my actual first and second name, and I think that it just really flows well with each other and could actually sound like a music artists name, the only problem is is that it does sound very child like and cute and sweet and this is not the image we are going for. The fourth and final name we came up with was AVA, this is the name we have chosen to use, and I love it so much, it is so catchy and hipster and looks really cool when I have experimented around with different logos.
